My Facebook Page ~ Sharing my art, my photos, my thoughts and some humor….
I was slow to join Facebook because I thought it might be trendy, just for kids, a little scary, and boy was I wrong. I’m not a gambler, but I would have put money down that Rap music would come and go quickly! Wrong again. ☺
So with some trepidation I started a Facebook page for my business of art. I thought it might be a good way to communicate on a daily basis with people who are interested in my art and want to know more about me and what I’m up to. It’s a great way to interact with people who want to have a dialog about something art related. Whereas, my blog is a more in-depth writing format which I post once a week on my website, discussing a particular topic.
Besides the almost daily posts of photos and commentary, I’ve set up photo albums of various categories. My maritime art, European art, and Bird art all have their own albums of images of my work. Along with painting albums, I’ve set up albums of my photographic images of all of the subjects I’m interested in. This includes a great variety of birds.
In the old days I took thousands of photographs of ships and unless I painted the scene nobody would ever see them. There were many scenes that I thought were worthy of painting but they remained in my file because I didn’t have the time to paint them.
You don’t need to be a Facebook regular or have a FB account in order to visit my business page. For you Facebook friends out there who have seen many of my photos posted but weren’t aware of my business page, feel free to check out all the different albums I’ve set up. I have many more images I want to share with all of you, so I will continually be updating the albums. Hit the Like button to receive frequent updates/daily posts.
I’m glad my initial impression of Facebook was wrong. I’ve been enjoying sharing what used to be kept in the vault!
